Requesting a Score Verification

For multiple-choice questions, your answers are scored and then verified before your scores are reported. Therefore, further rescoring is not offered.

All written responses are scored according to standardized procedures. Scorers with relevant professional backgrounds are oriented to these procedures and are carefully monitored during scoring sessions. As part of the scoring process, written responses are scored by multiple scorers. However, if you wish to have your written response(s) reevaluated you may request a rescore for the following:

  • Writing subtest of the WEST–B
  • constructed-response section of WEST–E Designated World Languages: Latin

There is a fee of $50 per test for this service.

Only the aforementioned constructed-response sections are eligible for score verification. You must submit your request for this service within 90 calendar days of the score report date. Payment must be made by a credit card (VISA or MasterCard only) or a debit or check card that carries the VISA or MasterCard logo and that can be used without the entry of a personal identification number (PIN).
