TEST SELECTION

The WEST tests are conducted in a test session that has a reporting time of 8:00 a.m. and ends at approximately 1:30 p.m. The test session includes five hours of actual testing time.

At a single test administration, you may register to take the WEST–B (one, two, or all three subtests) or up to two WEST–E tests (one or two tests, one test and up to two subtests, or up to four subtests). The Designated World Languages: Latin test cannot be taken at the same administration as most other WEST tests. See "Taking the Designated World Languages: Latin Test" below for more information.

You may take one of the following combinations of the WEST–B and WEST–E tests:

Taking the Designated World Languages: Latin Test

If you register for the WEST–E Designated World Languages: Latin test, you may also take one of the following tests at the same administration. These are the only tests that may be combined with the Designated World Languages: Latin test.

You may use the time available to work on the test(s) for which you are registered. If you register for only one test, you will have the entire test session to complete that test. If you register for multiple tests, you should be prepared to manage your time carefully in order to complete the tests within the test session. The individual tests and subtests are not timed within the test session. You may spend as much time as you want on each test. You may also work on the tests in any order you choose, except for the Mathematics (026) test, which must be taken first.

The following tables list all tests currently in the WEST program, including the WEST–B and the new WEST–E tests, as well as any special test information.
