Washington Educator Skills Tests (WEST)

The registration, user account, and score reporting services on this website will be temporarily unavailable on Monday, April 30, between 7:45 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. eastern time, for system maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Requesting a Score Verification

There is no rescoring service for multiple-choice questions.

All written responses are scored according to standardized procedures. Scorers with relevant professional backgrounds are oriented to these procedures and are carefully monitored during scoring sessions. As part of the scoring process, written responses are scored by multiple scorers. However, if you wish to have your written response(s) reevaluated you may request a rescore for the following:

  • Writing subtest of the WEST–B
  • constructed-response section of the WEST–E Computer Science
  • constructed-response section of WEST–E Designated World Languages: Latin

There is a fee of $50 per test for this service.

To request a score verification. A request for score verification must be made in writing and must include your name, the last five digits of your social security number, the test date, and the test name. Mail your request and payment to Evaluation Systems.

Payment must be made by personal check, cashier's check, or money order. Your written request and the correct payment must be postmarked within three months of the score report date.

Resolution. In the event that the score verification process results in a score alteration, you will be issued a corrected score report, the score verification fee will be refunded, and your records will be updated. If the original score is confirmed, you will be sent a letter indicating that the score has been confirmed. In this case, your score verification fee will not be refunded.
